A pair of French aged ormolu-mounted sevres-style cobalt blue-ground porcelain vases and cover, painted with mythological scenes of part of the Vulcan presenting Venus with arms for Aeneas after the painting of François Boucher 1757, within a richly gilt tooled foliate cartouche, the reverse with landscape scene, the shoulder flanked by upright aged-ormolu acanthus-scroll handles suspending rings, with bottleneck form enriched with gild foliate pattern and circled with ormolu laurel wreath, surmounted with domed cover with female bust figurine finial, raised on ornamented conforming socle and square base with foliate cartouche.
